David Hanson

David is a mechanical engineer and Senior Consultant at Acoustic Studio with over 20 years’ experience. David has worked as a consulting engineer in structural dynamics, particularly modal analysis and testing, in rail vehicle manufacturing and maintenance, and for RailCorp and Transport for NSW across a range of roles. His experience covers rolling stock, track and wheel/rail interface, operations (above and below rail), standards development, program design and implementation, and policy. David’s speciality is rail noise and vibration, and he holds both bachelor and doctorate degrees in mechanical engineering.
